2) Gerd Muller : 25 Goals (1972, Int.Country 13, Int.Club 12)
As far as i know Messi is all time top scorer in international games in a single year with 25, just as C. Ronaldo and Vivian Woodward.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Messi#World
OK, Thanks for notice. I have add Messi at 3rd and C.Ronaldo at 4th (Equal to Gerd Muller in overall scores but being finally beaten by int.country goals. I count goals of Fontaine and Muller from the actual record.

I know Linfield's record but they're an unprofessional club in some champion seasons, would not be included.
DeleteLinfield (North Ireland) 51 Times
DeleteI also have a complete list for Europe.
Yes. but also Penarol and Nacional .. Celtic and Rangers were unprofessional or semi profesional in early firsts seasons ...
DeleteDo you have a list with All Time Topscorers in Domestic League ??
ReplyDelete1. Pele (Brazil/SUA) 541 goals / 560 games

9. Arthur Antunes Coimbra "Zico" (Brazil/Italy/Japon) 406 / 596
10. Gerhard Muller (Germany/SUA) 405 / 507.
I know this stats but not prefer to show. Let me reconsider if record of goals by competition would be included.
DeleteMay I ask where you received these stats from?
DeleteGood question. The stats was collected from related source or even checking item by item by myself and then arrange the data to make ranking. Since the stats is conducted in a very wide range of history, there might be some omissions in the list and I highly open for reader's support.
DeleteI really like the ideas of this web-site but I think it can be improved with more details ...I have an idea how it should be a complet web-site about football ...statistics .... records ... it doesnot exist yet .. just parts of it around the internet ...I also have my own statistics in my computer but not published on the internet ... mine is basics and mainly about Spain Competitions and Real Madrid.
ReplyDeleteGreat, I still have some unfounded record particularly all-time most assists but I know it seems unavailable since that of many players were not recorded. Also, I'm interested to know all-time most consecutive game wins for player in both domestic, all club competitions, international country and all competitions but it is too hard to find the complete record.
DeleteFirst we need a list with all time most consecutive wins for a team. and after to check what players played in each game in that consecutive game wins.
DeleteAbout the all time assist you can find it in the recent history and that will not be a complete list.
You are missing Alec McNair of Celtic from decorated domestic players, 12 League titles and 6 Scottish Cups.
ReplyDeleteAlec McNair 12 League titles 6 Scottish Cups with Celtic missing from decorated domestic players
ReplyDeleteThanks for this player !
DeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteSome notes...
"All-Time Highest Goalscorer In A Single Game (Overall)"
There are several players who scored more than 8 goals in a single match. Among them:
_Passang Tshering - 17 goals in Transport United - RIHS 20-0, Bhutan championship [highest known number of goals ever, but I understand if you don't want to include because of the very low level of competition]
_Stefan Dembicki "Stanis" - 16 goals in Lens - Auby Asturies 32-0, preliminary round of the French Cup [it's official, but it's true that it was a "war year" and was played during the Second World War]
_Panagiotis Pontikos - 16 goals in Olympos Xylofagou - SEK 24-3, Cyprus third division [I understand if you don't want to consider it because it's third division...]
_Archie Thompson - 13 goals in Australia - American Samoa 31-0, World Cup qualifier [you should REALLY include this because it was a full official international match]
_Fritz Walter - 13 goals in Kaiserslautern - Pirmasens 26-0, Gauliga [the "Gauliga" was the regional round of the German championship during the 1930s and early 40s; I understand if you don't want to include it because the German championship at the time was not "professional", but *it is* an official German championship]
_John Petrie - 13 goals in Arbroath - Bon Accord 36-0, Scottish Cup [I think you should include this]
_Fritz Walter - 11 goals in Kaiserslautern - Eintracht Kreuznach 20-0, preliminary round of the German Cup [again, German football at the time was not professional, but still this is an official match...]
_Jeno Karoly - 11 goals in MTK Budapest - MAFC 15-1, Hungarian championship [you should include this, it's an official first division match]
There are many other examples and I have many more details (for example Gottfried Fuchs and Sophus Nielsen both scored 10 goals in one match at the Olympic Tournament at the beginning of the XXth century, you probably know that)... let me know if you want some more info!
Cheers,
Davide
Thanks for the record. I count only the professional first level league, domestic cup ((against the teams not below second division) and international "A" match. I also set my own criteria not include scoring against the opponent whom his nation was ranked below 150th by FIFA.
DeleteXavi should have 4 champions leagues. He played 4 games in 2006 and that's 31%
ReplyDeleteCan you expend the "Most decorated players" list to top 30? I would be very interested to see it.
ReplyDeleteI probably made for top 20 but I am now very busy. I'll inform when I have finished.
DeleteG. Ferrari should have 19 not 19.5 points in most decorated players list.
ReplyDeleteI already check and you're true. I'll update.
DeleteXavi should have 4 champions leagues. He did play more than 30% of games in 2006.
ReplyDeleteI have increased criteria to 40 %.
DeleteOk, thanks.
DeleteThanks for a great site. Do you have any stats for (i) most consecutive assists and (ii) most consecutive goals-or-assists? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAssist stats has been record regularly in the modern era. I don't think anyone would have a complete stats for domestic football but international football is affordable.
ReplyDeleteIniesta now has 28.5 points in most decorated players table.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the top-10 players with most assists in the history of football ?
ReplyDeleteDue to the fact that assist record had not been collected by statisticians until the 2000s, I don't think anyone could made the list correctly but I can imagine players in the 1950s would have the highest potential when the scores in that era is most productive.
Deletebut do you have any information on who has the most assists?
DeleteWhich team have the longest streak of not conceding a penalty at home
ReplyDeleteI believe no one could conclude such a rare stats through the world of football history.
DeleteScarone has the same palmarès as Nasazzi.
ReplyDeleteEven more with the 1928 Olympics.
DeleteOK, Thanks, I have added him.
Delete(Yes same as I said at first, not more)
ReplyDelete"All-Time Longest Streak Without Conceding Goal (Domestic League)"
ReplyDeleteI believe Charles Shaw (Celtic) should be in 4th place on the above list, with 1,287 mins without conceding.
Thanks ! This is such a rare information.

ReplyDeleteThanks you very much. It is valuable source that I will update for.
DeleteI am pretty sure Kazuyoshi Miura has over taken at least Peter Shilton in longest career span 1986 onward but I am not certain he has been playing continuously the whole time.
ReplyDeleteHi, for your most decorated list: Jimmy McMenemy has 11 League wins + 6 Scottish Cups with Celtic, and 1 Scottish Cup with Partick Thistle
ReplyDeleteAnd Billy McNeill has 9 League + 7 Cups for Celtic (and 1 European Cup, not sure if you're counting that). I see your total for league wins is higher than 9 but total trophies for several is less than 16, it doesn't really state how you've added it up. Some more explanation in all categories would improve the page

ReplyDeleteYou should update the "All-Time Longest Streak Without Conceding Goal (Domestic League)"
ReplyDeletecheckout Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israeli league goalkeeper
Now he has accumulated only 1083 minutes not enough for the top ten. I will check his progress until he concede a goal.
Deletenow you should update the chart, for now he is no. 8 with 1260 min.
DeleteYou should check Maccabi Tel Aviv's goalie, Daniel Tenenbaum again
ReplyDeleteDaniel Tenenbaum 1263minutes
ReplyDeleteThats correct
DeleteDaniel Tenenbaum strike - 1263 minutes without conceded a goal
ReplyDeleteYou are wrong about Daniel Tenenbaum
ReplyDeleteHe has another game from last season that he didnt concede a goal, which gives him 1272 minutes
total of 14 games without conceding a goal
The replies are from before his last match.

ReplyDeleteDude, stop being so biased, Pelé won 3 FIFA WC titles. Even though he only played two games in 1962, he still contributed by helping his team advance to the knockout stage. He was the man of the match against Mexico, assisting Zagallo on the first goal and scoring the second one himself (which was a great solo goal by the way). He even meets your requirement to play 30% of the competition (2/6 games = 33.3%). So, give them man the credit he deserves.
ReplyDeleteNeeds updating after wc 2022
ReplyDeleteAccording to your score, Messi position in "The Most Team Decorated Footballers of All-Time" is wrong.
ReplyDeleteit is
ReplyDeleteGlasgow Rangers were liquidated in 2012. They disbanded also and were banned from Scottish football. The club was found to be illegally using an unfair financial advantage over all other Scottish teams during a 9 consecutive title run between 2000 and 2011. They dropped out Scottish football. Later a team called "The Glasgow Rangers" filled the vacuum by aquiring some of the clubs assets and starting as a new club in Scotlands lowest league in 2013.
